How do you translate Valletta 2018 Foundation’s cultural programme into video?

We studied it, and one thing stood out in particular – Valletta is a city, but Valletta and the Maltese culture are nothing without people. We wanted the audience to feel part of Valletta 2018… that if one is not a professional artist, dancer, actor and one simply likes to dance on a random Saturday night or sing in the shower, everyone can be part of Valletta 2018. So we came up with the slogan for the project which we used as our basis for the project; “We are the city. We are the culture. We are Valletta 2018”.

We spent 3 days filming in the scorching Maltese summer sun, getting to know Valletta like the back of our hands and filming in some of the most iconic locations in the city to translate our culture to the screen.
